Excel Chapter 3

Three things I learned in Excel Ch. 3 is that hiding the ribbon will allow a larger portion of the worksheet to be visible, error messages always begin with the number symbol, and to format the legend on the chart, use the legend gallery. I would like to learn more about Excel because I might need to use it in the future and the more things I know about Excel, the better.

End of 9 Weeks

I learned a lot of cool things in Word and Excel. One thing I learned is how to make a table. You can do different thing to make the table look good and not plain. Another easy thing I learned was how easy it was to insert a citation. I would like to go to Applebee's with this class and make a chart about the various foods the next day. thank you.

Excel Chapter 2

In Excel chapter 2 I learned how to add a theme to my tables. I also learned how to put formulas into the cells, and how to copy those formulas to all the other cells. I think that is really easy now. For my public service flier I chose child abuse because I made a public service announcement in child abuse in a previous class and I know all about it.

Excel

What is the program Excel used for? What are at least 3 skills you learned in this first chapter of Excel? Do you think you can use Excel in your career area?

Excel is for when businesses need to make charts for their quarter sales or cash flows, etc. I learned a couple different skills when doing the first chapter. The first skill I leared was how to use the AutoCalculate button. The second skill I learned was how to use the Comma Style and what it was for. The third thing I learned was how to change the heading styles of the charts. I think I will probably be able to use Excel in my career area, but I am not sure yet because I don't even know what career area I am going into.

Resume

The most important part about learning how to make a resume and letter of application is being able to make one for future jobs. My references are Denise Stalnaker, Debbie Conrad, and Laurie Chestnut. I think that they would say I am a very hard-working and conscientious student.

Word

One thing that I learned in Word was how to insert a citation. It was really easy and if I would have known how to do that when I was writing my junior paper then it would have been a lot easier.

I like using the wiki and blog for this class. It helps me learn more about blogging and using the wiki. I have already learned some things in this class. I learned that you should plan to buy a computer that will last for two to three years. I didn't know that, and now I know that we should probably get a new computer at our house. I learned that digital enhancements are updates that contains fixes and enhancements to the operating system. I also learned that a ToolTip is a short on-screen note associated with the object you are pointing to. If I would have to buy a computer now I would think about what kind of computer I needed for college.

I don't use Microsoft Office programs that often. I have used Microsoft Word for writing papers and different things for school. I have also used Microsoft PowerPoint when making a powerpoint for my senior project.

Harassment

Harassment is a bad thing.  I even made a PSA in Digital Imaging about harassment.  Yes, I have seen harassment at my school many different times.  I don't think I have ever harassed anyone before.  Now if I saw someone being harassed, I would try to help them because I don't like it when people get harassed or harass other people.
